Shanti Sanskrit Calligraphy

Description

Shanti is the Sanskrit word for “Inner Peace”. It is chanted at the beginning and end of many Hindu & Buddhist prayers, chants and invocations. It usually repeated three times and coupled with the powerful mantra “Om.”

This hand rendered calligraphy utilizes the Japanese technique of Hitsuzendō, in which the Calligrapher becomes an instrument of his “Chi” or life force. This gives the piece a sence of energy and vitality.
