Landscapes

During the Baroque period, landscapes largely replaced traditional biblical scenes as analogies for the divine in art. Later, impressionists took advantage of new technology to paint landscapes on site; referred to as plein aire painting. Landscapes are a great way to bring the outdoors inside.
